Pluspunten

People at Monex (on the 2nd floor), I found them to be very friendly and most are good at their jobs.

Minpunten

- Senior team members in the HR and Payroll department possess inefficient leadership, lack ownership and allow their subordinates to take on all duties and responsibilities with little support. - Tribalism within some of the teams. - Not everyone is held equally accountable for their work. - The company lack compassion towards employees taking time off. They lie when they say they offer flexibility. Sales & Traders are expected to go into the office 5 days a week. - Probation varies between 1-6 months which shows no consistency in the company. Make sure to negotiate as you won’t be entitled to Benefits until you pass probation. - Benefits are below industry standards – Management care more about how much it’s going to cost the company (including the fruit in the kitchen) rather than maintaining employees satisfied. - Monex does not have a culture and they don’t care to create one.

Good place to gain exposure early in your career but that's all. Do not get stuck here

Minpunten

The biggest issue at Monex is the gap between what leadership says and what employees actually experience. Career growth lacked transparency and structure. Employees were encouraged to work hard and remain patient, but there was rarely a clear path for advancement or consistent communication about what was required to progress. Roles and responsibilities were often unclear, changed frequently, and ownership was not always well-defined. At times, even managers seemed uncertain about expectations and accountability. The culture was heavily influenced by office politics, favoritism, micromanagement, and behind-the-scenes conversations. It often felt like relationships and internal dynamics carried more weight than performance and contributions. Many leaders have been in the same positions for years, creating a culture that can be resistant to change and new ideas. Honest conversations and different perspectives did not always feel welcomed. One of the most disappointing experiences was seeing leadership celebrate company growth and strong performance at company-wide events, only for employees across the organization to be let go shortly afterward. The disconnect between leadership messaging and reality significantly eroded trust. The company (executives) frequently spoke about its values and commitment to employees, but many employees struggled to see those values reflected in leadership actions and decision-making.
