The company no longer exists as it was purchased by a competitor

Not many pros these days.

Used to be a great place to work, but since Shift4 acquired Merchant Link, they have gone through 3 separate layoffs. This last layoff in September 2020 involved 125 employees, which Shift4 kept quiet, even from their managers who didn’t know their team members were laid off until a terminated employee contacted their manager. They don’t appear to know what they are doing, communication is terrible, they don’t care about their people (everyone is just a number), they are shutting down everything that once was Merchant Link and switching everything over to Shift4. I suspect that within 2 years the Silver Spring office will be completely shut down. I would not encourage anyone to work for this company unless you enjoy beating your head against a brick wall on a daily basis and you are okay with getting terminated at a moments notice, because there will be more terminations. They didn’t even offer the terminated employees the option to work in other positions within the company, and yet they are advertising for open positions in Allentown and Las Vegas. They cut them lose via an email “you are terminated as of today”.
