The office hours were Monday - Friday, and would provide flexible schedules including 4 - 10 hour shifts, or split shifts to accomidate for employees going back to school or with special needs.

The insurance industry flows with the financial sector in the market. If the financial or insurance companies are impacted, Metlife also receives a blow. Also, MetLife began offshoring and outsourcing some of its customer service positions. Representatives are now required to be more valuable by cross training on multiple product lines.
