A real privilege to have worked with a committed group of people who ran through brick walls for their team and those around them...until internal politics interferred and they were scapegoated for the short sightedness of the C-Level execs.

The CEO is a bottom percentile example of his role. Surrounded himself with sycophants and those who were motivated by self-interest (several of these individuals have since moved on after there was no one left to blame). 90% of the EMEA team were disbanded. This was under the guise of COVID, yet it was pre-planned prior to the onset of the pandemic. The company got itself in a very sticky situation due to its lack of understanding of non-US employment law. My understanding is that settlements were made with those individuals let go who had a good grasp of their rights. After burning through it's initial series C funding, the existing investors were turned to for a last roll of the dice. The sum received was paltry - a last ditch effort for a fire sale? Those who weren't let go are leaving in their droves - most are not even exercising their stock options. An indication of the level of confidence? New joiners ought to be wary - the company has a precedent of making offers to individuals, having those offers accepted, then firing them before their first day. I would urge caution to those who prioritise trust, honesty and integrity in their employer.
