The Strategy Analyst role at O2 sits in the central strategy team who act as independent advisors to the board on strategic issues. Projects are very high-level and include setting strategic direction and solving industry-disruptive strategic problems. The O2 Strategy team and projects are very similar to that of a MBB Strategy consultancies, with some members having come from those roles.
- Exposure to a full range of strategic projects including commercial strategy, B2B strategy, corporate strategy, go-to-market strategy, M&A etc.
- Good engagement with stakeholders in the business from all functions e.g marketing, finance, sales, networks. Opportunities to sit in on meetings with senior stakeholders
- Lots of analytical work including competitor analysis, formulation of strategic recommendations and modelling – as an analyst the role centres more around working on clearly defined workloads with the freedom to be creative in your approach. With time and experience you may get more responsibility on project scoping, structuring and presenting
- Direct contribution to final board-level outputs including presentations and strategic papers even at a junior level
