Career enhancement opportunities, company is growing fast, unique and industry leading products, exciting atmosphere, decent benefits, top notch customer list. This isn't a place where people can skate by with mediocre performance. Everyone who lasts here shows that they are up for the challenge, which in my opinion, is a good thing. There are many complaints on this site about the overly aggressive nature of the company and complaints about the CEO. Although some of the items may be warranted, he is a very smart guy, with big ambitions as to what this company can acheive. As we are bootstrapped, there isn't room for slackers who aren't helping us reach that goal, and I'm fully supportive of the 'trim the fat' mentality we have. I'd highly recommend this company to someone who wants to come in, work hard, and easily see the fruits of their labors... the sky is the limit with what we are putting together here. The career opportunities I've been exposed to by working at OPSWAT are great, and promotions are a regular thing at company meetings.

Aggressive deadlines, long hours, high pressure. People tend to work more than 8 hours per day, with plenty of pressure to do whatever it takes to get things done. Layoffs can come very quickly, as someone who doesn't demonstrate immediately that they are a good fit will be let go. The benefits could be better too, we have some nice perks (food delivery every night), but they seem to be more of an afterthought than something that is truly focused on. I'm hopeful that this will improve soon though.
