Lots of bureaucracy, politics, and recognition and rewards are based on popularity and ability to maintain status quo by administering existing programs vs innovating in impactful ways. Below market salaries and ridiculous commission scheme There is no event, pun, or gimmick too corny for Optus to adopt - all in the spirit of "optumism"...smh. The constant barrage of cutesy ideas and initiatives make the culture seem forced, excessively fluffy, and phony. It is a bit too over the top, can be exhausting and is definitely not for everyone. Whilst it may be well-intentioned, the company should consider toning it down a bit in order to attain the esteem they are seeking.
