PROS operates at the heart of its customers' sales & pricing processes, and they are very good at what they do, so you will learn a lot during your journey there.

Minpunten

Pricing and CPQ are two very different and challenging markets in their own ways. The pricing maturity of a market, an industry or a specific company can be varying immensely, and this impacts greatly your probability to sell. PROS premium positioning and some rigidity makes it even more challenging. The CPQ market is more mature in Europe, and the functional depth of Smart CPQ should place it at the top of the list of almost any company that is serious about it. However, the fierce and new competition coming Salesforce, Oracle and SAP has pushed PROS in the arms of Microsoft, the last large CRM vendor who hasn't bought a CPQ vendor yet. Problem, MS CRM market share is 4%, and is mainly in the US, so you better have an incredibly high win ratio if you want to do some good CPQ business in Europe. All in all, PROS business is a bit like finding a needle in a haystack.
