The opportunity is what you make of it. There is opportunity there, but it looks like hard work and accountability. If you submit yourself to the process and look at all of the good things, you can become a part of it.

Minpunten

There are plenty of areas that could use improvement, but if you are complaining about processes and procedures, you probably need to address the issues in the mirror first. Yes, there are issues, but the reality is that every company has issues. If you want to complain, then do so, but realize that everything you are complaining about in the company is an opportunity for you to shine.

This company understands the value in positive encouragement and is willing to tap into the amazing talent of the millions of citizens who typically are barred from landing a job in an industry that pays enough to make a living due to their driving records and backgrounds.

Minpunten

The starting pay is $10 per hour, and the hours are kind of odd. Also the commission pay is based on the salesman's ability to get a contract signed and not based on a canvassers ability to get a scheduled appointment. So starting as a canvasser your pay is left in the salesman's hands,

Pluspunten

Flexible time off, decent commission (if production doesn’t diminish it on back ends), other sales reps, leads provided (quality of those leads is unknown).

Minpunten

Required to use your own vehicle, no reimbursement for mileage. Company boasts training in the interview but the training is anything but quality. You get thrown on leads without proper training and you get reprimanded through your commission for not knowing how to price things properly because you weren’t trained enough. There’s no accountability or evidence of what was actually used to build the job you sold so crews can claim whatever and it comes out of your commission. Constant yearly adjustments to your pay scale (decreases only). No communication from the production department with the clients or urgency for production to build your jobs. The only way to make good money here is to overcharge for jobs that are already a higher than average price point by the company so your back ends don’t get taken away during installs. You never get straight answers from anybody when you have a question or issue.
