Made some friends while working here and overall my peers were generally nice and easy to work with. That's about it in terms of pros.

Minpunten

I don't know where to begin honestly but here it goes. This company can't figure out a structure that works. In 2016 the entry level role was called "Account Coordinator" which they then split into "planner" (pre campaign) and "specialist" (live and post campaign). Now they figured out that didn't work so they are getting rid of the planner role and changing the responsibilities of the specialist and AM roles plus laying off people in the process. Upper management here makes many mistakes and it's the entry level workers that pay the price. If you happen to avoid being laid off during org changes then it's very difficult to get promoted if you're not a cute girl or a guy that is very friendly/personal with management. Women get extra benefits here such as being promoted quickly, flexible work hours, extra work from home time and extra attention from managers. If you're a guy whose style is to mind his business, get all your work done and get it done well then all you can expect is more work not more pay or higher level responsibilities. Only people in sales get any sort of commission or profit sharing even though client services puts a ton of work into each and every campaign. It appears the more you move up the more pay you get and the less work you have to do. The organization does not care much about client services shown also by the fact that they are not invited to most company parties and events. They get their own event which is a 30 minute boat ride to and from the Statue of Liberty if you're in NY. The "cruise" has bad food to boot. A lot of people in sales get stressed out and take out their frustrations on their fellow employees. This is because directors assign them unrealistic goals. People change when they move into sales here. They become more jaded, gossip more and are just generally meaner people. The women are also very competitive both before and after being promoted to sales making for an often times uncomfortable work environment if you are friendly with a few co workers going for the same role. For all the good peers and employees there are a ton that will talk negatively about you behind your back and them smile and converse to your face. I saw this take place way too often. There were many consistent problems that existed and when reported the responses were very lackluster or even downright futile like "we will never fix that" or "thats life". So all the in all if you're a cute girl with an outgoing personality you should do just fine. Despite getting rid of the CEO and putting out all this PR to help their image they still have these issues dug in deep in the culture. Avoid unless you're desperate or a masochist. P.S - Only ten vacation days.

People who were at Paramount before the Skydance merger remain talented and amazing people.

Minpunten

The post-Skydance merger Paramount is an aimless corporate with zero resources, and respect for existing employees. Senior management are coming from Disney, and they’re hiring all their previous Disney colleagues, while laying off employees that have been at Paramount through ages. There has also been a shift in demographics where White men control the power. It’s disheartening to see amazing legacy leadership get demoted and sidelined in favor of incoming White male leaders from Disney. The new senior management will say things like, “We want to invest in people that will stay with us and grow,” yet layoff an entire division that have kept this company running through all the transitions. The disrespect is just ridiculous.
