Pluspunten
The best reason to work for Paychex is because it is a stable large company. It is currently spending loads of money on technology and will have a large demand for technical individuals for years to come. The company helps pay for tuition and offers 401k, medical, dental and pharmacy benifits.
Minpunten
The downside to working at paychex is the compensation. There are many opertunities for advancement in IT from support to third level and up. But moving up from within the company does not pay the same as being hired from out side. Advancements to other departments are considered lateral and there is no increase in compensation. This is dictated from upper management. Annual raises don't keep up with inflation. They are said to be based on performance but at best you get a 3% increase. Though 6% is theoretically possible you have to walk on water and tell the future to get that increase.
