Pluspunten
The individual contributors and first level managers are all really sharp and hard working. Everybody works really hard. Plex has a lot of great people. (Pre-Covid) There are a bunch of cultural perks like free food, drinks, fun, Responsible Time-Off (unlimited PTO), flex time, training, etc. Overall, it has a great atmosphere...covid has made this not as valuable for the time being, but still the atmosphere is really good.
Minpunten
Since the original founders sold it a few years back, the latest upper management doesn't seem to have the same core values that the software developers (individual contributors) have. This is causing strain on the culture. The first and second level managers are caught in the middle: trying to keep the positive culture that had been standard while still keeping upper management happy.
