Pluspunten
The talent level of the developers and software engineers at Promethean is very high. They have a grueling interview process and strive to hire only the "best" and most compatible with their culture. They prefer to hire people with Type A personalities who are often high-achieving "workaholics." So if you care about your work-life balance, this is definitely not the place for you to work. There is truly a peer-to-peer compassion in which people help each other during the work day.
Minpunten
Scope Creep. This is single–handedly the worst aspect of this company. If you are used to "Agile" then hold your horses. This is anything but. Management only cares about the quantity of stories, tasks and throughput in which the rate of production is delivered. Quality and actual need for the features being developed are not a primary concern. All urgent timelines are fabricated to consistently push hard with no real consideration to the quality of the delivered product. They prefer to hire people with Type A personalities who are often high-achieving "workaholics." So if you care about your work-life balance, this is definitely not the place for you to work. This often results in "whom-ever talks the loudest wins" syndrome. Please beware! Their entire technology stack is a huge mess. Basically it's a big bowl of “Spaghetti” code that is a result of their pace an desire to move fast. technical debt is a household name. The environment is one big open office floor plan. If you like your work space quiet to any degree, then you will very disappointed and more importantly very distracted. The future of the company doesn't look good. The Net Dragon overlords are pushing in a direction based on faster and not better. The HR department is awful. Very unprofessional.
