The retirement is fantastic, but as a dept. manager expect to fill in for your employees when they call in sick. If an employee calls in sick you have to work the extra hours, because its impossible to approve overtime. So when an employee wants an extra day off they just call in sick, but as a manager you will never use your sick time unless you are on your death bed or with a serious illness. That is a great benefit if you do get really sick, but what good is it if you get burnt out working sixty to seventy hours per week, then they tell you that you don't know how to manage your time!
