Pluspunten

Doesn't matter what the pros are, management will find a way to remove them one by one. The people I directly work with are the only good thing about this place, and even they're being pushed out.

Minpunten

I was hired as remote, and now have no potential for career progression due to being remote. Draconian return-to-office policies, forcing people that were hired as remote to drive 8 hours a week to the office. Outsourced to the lowest bidder internationally, even customers complain about poor work ethic from international employees. Virtually no job training. Sub-standard salary for the work we are expected to do. I can't have 'engineer' in my title despite doing application support engineer work for the last 2 years because that would make it easier to leave. Upper management unaware or indifferent to issues affecting whole departments. Middle management changes weekly.

Pluspunten

I love working at Q2. My personal experience has been very positive. I've had the privilege of being on multiple teams in various departments during my time here and I have had excellent experiences with my managers, leadership, and coworkers.

Minpunten

The return to office policy is very rigid. I would like to see them adopt a "commute time" policy rather than miles. 50 miles is not equal drive time in Austin vs somewhere like Nebraska. We've lost many excellent coworkers due to this policy. All that institutional knowledge, right out the door in favor of sticking to company policy.

Pluspunten

Pay (salary + bonus + equity) was ok

Minpunten

HRBPs are sinking the ship. They are making business decisions, hiring/firing decisions for the business units. They sit on interview panels just to ask some behavioral questions that any of the other interviewers could ask. They inconsistently apply extreme policies (not even talking about the RTO). The company says they want to grow to be a billion dollar company. No company has ever done it with HR policies. I've been at companies a tenth of the size and trillion dollar companies. None have had the HR policies that Q2 has. The business model is also not sustainable. The number of financial institutions in the US has been shrinking for 20+ years. And once the local banks get scooped up by the JP Morgan Chases, they'll be using the Chase mobile app, not Q2's software.
