They have a great benefits program if you need all that stuff. Domestic partners get benefits too, and the package includes mental health services (which you will need), legal help, insurance discounts, and product discounts off items sold by QVC. Technology they use is state of the art. You can build a decent resume here. It is one of the few TV channels in the area for broadcast work that is not affiliated with the major networks. They are very flexible and allow a good work life balance. Everybody knows QVC so you are a star just for working there where ever you go. They will pay for college but that doesn't translate to better pay or position necessarily.
Minpunten
Reviews and promotions are political. The salary ranges for different ranks overlap by 20K and eventually you'll hit a ceiling. There are a few heroes that get credit while most don't. They recently changed all the senior management out for newer younger people so there are changes underfoot. Last year they started layoffs despite being hugely profitable still. Although unrelated to working there, the quality of the products they sell can be horrible. Name brands are OK but some of the stuff is ghastly. The building is monitored everywhere by cameras and hidden devices. They frequently move entire departments around and reorganize endlessly. Even the simple tasks require committee meetings and project managers. When they say people are are greatest asset they don't mean you they are referring to customers. Outsourcing has begun so practice your Hindu.
