Pluspunten
- work/life balance is ok. You are generally not expected to work overtime too often and when there really is something urgent you are paid for the overtime - total compensation is ok. The sallary may be less than what you could get elsewhere but you get stocks and you could end up with a huge amount of money in theory. That's when the stock market is good and the company does well. If not, you could lose about 25% of the value you are supposed to get in less than a year before you even get the actual stocks, as it happened to us. Newer employees could end up getting more money from the stocks than you do if they are luckier than you just because the stock price at the time they got employed is better than yours. So only go to qualcomm if you like gambling 😅 - tools and processess are quite ok compared to previous experiences. They are not perfect but at least everything is pretty organized and there are lots of possibilities for extensive testing - the staff you work on is generally interesting - great team and good manager - the culture and atmosphere is quite friendly. People support each other and pair up in order to solve problems - the technologies used are quite cutting edge compared with others in the automotive - no micromanagement - great private healtcare insurance

- return to office - return to office - return to office. I'm actually writing this review so I can see the reviews for other companies in order to decide on my next job. I'm planning to leave qualcomm (as a lot of other colleagues do) because of the RTO pollicy and especially because of the way it was communicated. Currently it's only 2 days a week but the upper management has made it abundantly clear that they want 4 days a week in the office once we have enough space for all of us. So only come here if you want to come in the office 4 days a week to stay in teams meetings, ocasionally even for a couple of hours, with not enough parking spaces, absolutely no space to take a break or relax in the office other than in the kitchen and generally pricey food from the mall. The management in Romania is absolutely powerless. The communication was dreadfull and no good reason was given for this 4 days RTO. Yes, RTO is the norm now, but with 4 days RTO Qualcomm is in the top of the worst employers - most want 2 or 3 days, not 4. And this proves that the upper management is comprised of progress-fearing, power-hungry people. This is no more a company I wish to work for. Arriver was great. Arriver after it got bought by Qualcomm is not great anymore.
