Over the course of my apprenticeship with the RAC Academy, I’ve had the opportunity to grow not just as a technician, but as a professional. The training structure is hands-on, progressive, and tailored to real-world roadside scenarios—something that makes the experience both practical and rewarding. The support from mentors has been one of the biggest highlights. Their willingness to guide, coach, and gradually allow me to work more independently has helped me build both technical skill and confidence. The Academy team also ensures that apprentices feel supported every step of the way, whether it’s during on-road development or classroom-based learning. One of the most valuable parts of this journey has been the character development. Two years ago, I wouldn’t have imagined where I’d be today. Thanks to the training, encouragement, and responsibility I’ve been given, I’m now proud to be approaching the end of the apprenticeship and excited at the prospect of joining the patrol force full time.
