Very tense closed fearful environment. They fire people and get rid of people for any pretext, it could be your age it could be because they don't like you, it could be because they don't like the way you dress. You can be one of the best people in there, but if you look at somebody cross-eyed one day, they'll look for a reason to get rid of you. I've seen great people come in and get shown the door, not because they were incompetent. But mostly because they are a threat. They have something called values meetings everyday, to keep everyone pumped up. Upper management is super paranoid; they keep saying they want feedback but when you give it, they look for excuses to write people up and show them the door. if you go with there, keep your head down. keep to yourself. they'll take you into one-on-ones and rip you apart, just to keep you down. they don't want anybody moving up, but pretend they do they give you lots of mixed messages. Just get some good info for a resume and then get the hell out.
