Software development From software development point of view: most of the senior project and product managers left the company during last 4 years, which left the management positions open to inexperienced people with mostly no relation to software development/IT. This shows in most of the teams – the development is erratic, real plans nonexistent, teams doesn't cooperate. Senior developers are slowly leaving too and company doesn't want to invest into senior employees, prefering cheaper juniors. However in most of teams there is none to take care about juniors which makes the quality of products even worse. The old projects are not properly decommissioned, so the developers are slowly accumlating number of old projects they have to support in addition to their normal work. If someone leaves the company, the support of his projects is just moved to a next person and nobody new is hired. Currently the company stopped hiring new employees into IT branch and is offering only freelance positions, because of the merge with another company, which probably has a lot of software devs. We can expect some "rationalization" during the next spring/summer – some people will be fired from company – and so nobody new is offered an employee position, even if it is into a understaffed team. Compensations company is slowly cutting everything away
