People across the org are actively talking to customers and listening to how they work, and you can feel it in how product decisions get made. You're not the lone advocate for the customer internally. Leadership is very open about the company's direction, which makes you feel like a partner rather than just an employee. Leadership trusts the team, so there's little red tape, if any. If you see a problem or have a passion for something, you're empowered to go fix it.

Things move fast and processes are still maturing, which is just the nature of an early-stage company. What's less typical is how much Rally has invested in documentation and resources (onboarding materials, product guides, a solid knowledge base, etc.) so you're not left figuring it out from scratch.

The culture here is genuinely great, I've never looked so forward to our end of the week all-hands meetings before. It's not just about having fun with your coworkers, which we do, but about learning from others on your team as well as those on other teams. The company is moving and growing fast, so there is a lot of ownership in your role which gives opportunity to grow your skills. I've definitely learned more here since I've started than I have at any other company. The product itself is excellent and clearly best-in-class There’s a strong commitment to doubling down on the things that make it great rather than chasing trends which I think is where the success is coming from.

With any startup, there is a fast pace and processes are still evolving. You have to comfortable adapting and learning new skills on the fly. While I wouldn't personally consider this a negative, it’s something to be aware of if you’re considering joining a startup for the first time. For people who enjoy learning and being challenged, this is actually a big advantage and enables growth opportunities.
