Pluspunten

Able to work from home due to Covid-19. Company gives a fair chance for internal staff to apply for open positions / promote from within. RecycleSmart would be a good fit for you if you are adaptive to change and enjoy working at a fast pace. Helpful work environment - easy to reach out to someone to ask questions. Company is almost 100% remote but I do not feel isolated. There are lots of virtual face to face meetings to stay connected with coworkers.

Minpunten

They give you 2 weeks vacation, which is lower than the default 3 weeks from past companies I've worked for. Currently, there is no formal annual raise process to account for inflation. Dental services / medical prescriptions are 80% covered, while it was 100% covered at past companies. Job satisfaction would be significantly higher if the salary was better.

RecycleSmart's goal is to be one of the best places to work in Canada. We have recently adjusted starting vacations to provide a minimum of 3 weeks company wide and a formal structure for annual raises has also been put in place in addition to an initiative to ensure all salaries are commensurate with position and experience. The RecycleSmart benefit package is actually very competitive when the entire program is considered, including health dental/medical spending account, LTD, lifestyle benefit and PD allowance.

- RecycleSmart is growing fast, and just like any other growing companies some things change quite fast, which is something that I personally like as we have been constantly changing for better. - I love that every employee is respected as an individual human being, not just as a number in a company. I truly enjoy that leaders are attentive to everyone's ideas for improvement. But one thing that doesn't change here is the culture which is AMAZING. - Work/life balance is truly respected and applied here not just like a beautiful slogan on LinkedIn. - RecycleSmart is also strongly committed with social works and encourages employees to take some time to volunteer whenever they would like to.

Minpunten

- Based on the daily workload and how highly skilled the majority of employees are, I do believe that salary should be higher. - I don’t like the quarterly reviews as they are too many (4) in a year, and we always have to fill out a written review every time. This is time consuming and I don't see the need to execute 4 of those per year.
