- Extremely nice people: The team is genuinely friendly and supportive. - Great onboarding and interview experience: The recruitment and onboarding process is smooth and professional. - Strong culture values: The company promotes positive values and a collaborative environment. - Easy product to market and sell: The offering is well-received and Remote is seen as one of the more reputable players in the EOR (Employer of Record) space. - Good Growth

- Very strict performance culture: Expectations are extremely high and there is little tolerance for anything less than excellence. - Cutthroat approach to underperformance: If you don’t meet targets, decisions are made quickly and often harshly. There is also no time for improvement or change management. - Very high targets: Quotas can feel unrealistic and add significant pressure. - Leadership issues: Founders, especially Marcelo, tend to micromanage and take on too many roles (CRO, CMO, etc.), which leads to confusion and inefficiency. - Poor handling of terminations: Firings are abrupt and handled in a very American style—immediate termination, payout of notice period, and instant system lockout. This feels inhumane and lacks empathy. - Lack of transparency: Despite transparency being a core value, layoffs and reorganizations are not communicated openly. Management often praises the team publicly while quietly letting people go. - Insensitive firing culture: Severance is minimal, and there is little genuine care shown to departing employees. The process is impersonal and can be shocking in its speed and lack of explanation.
