Pluspunten
The pace of the company felt unmatched at times. You’re in a high octane environment, and there’s a lot of trust placed in employees to do their best and problem solve at speed. When you’re flying, you really are flying. Definitely beneficial for people trying to dive into the deep end, especially across marketing as it becomes a rapid fire curve in upskilling and understanding a really unique industry.
You really do become accustomed to the pace of a scaling business, and like I’ve said when the work bears fruits it’s really rewarding to see and it’s shared by upper management.
Also opportunities for travel which is a nice bonus.
Minpunten
Having seen the nature of the company and the fire/hire mentality across the board, something like job security isn’t a word I’d hang on the sign. The intention for great things is there, but fostering a positive environment for growth is something that is lacking. I truly believe Abdullah and the team have the best intentions to evolve people in the workplace, but from my experience, this is something that feels a bit left behind when the going gets tough. I genuinely had an overall positive experience here and wish nothing but the best for the company, but there are ripples that show around the office from time to time.
When it comes to more junior hires, it’s hard to see the outlook on development and allowing people to slot into the work overtime. Expectations are high, and if it’s felt that you’re not at the standard, you’ll know very quickly.
