Some level if knowledge to gain from upper management. Too bad many are too jaded to care.

Minpunten

Old school management in the "good ole boy" network will do you no good in your career beyond the company since the "Rivers" name carries no clout outside of eastern NC and is part of a local base quickly loosing market share to better engineering g firms from Raleigh, Wilmjngton, and Charlotte.

Great staff with lots of experience. Flexible schedules and plenty of training / networking opportunities.

Minpunten

No retirement benefit (match), below average pay (15 to 25% below regional average), bonuses nonexistent since 2009. No wireless access to emails and limited ability to work remotely. Career growth and development is limited within the current company structure (top heavy). Health, life, and disability insurance is slightly below average.
