Pluspunten
Management was great, very close-knit office both on the production side and the business side.
Minpunten
Pay is absolutely terrible- tiered 34k for 6 months, with each month paying less and less until month 7, when you’re expected to be making 100% commission. Dying industry and as a smaller company, you will get the “leftovers” from ad agencies after they’ve spent 99% of their budgets, and local advertising is extremely difficult to find. There’s nothing unique or niche about the stations (depending on which one you work for, Power 98.3 is mildly profitable), and they never should have changed formats and excluded Alternative Rock. You’ll be expected to be at your desk unless you have a client meeting, and you’ll be driving a LOT, literally going door to door to local businesses. I’m pretty sure that during my last year there, it actually COST me money to have that job. Experience and BS required, but pays minimum wage for a few months. Constantly hiring as people leave around month 6. Radio is dead.
