Pluspunten
I started at Rocket as a participant in their Hackathon. Welcomed right away, the experience turned out to be one of the most pivotal moments in my young career in Tech. After having won the Hackathon they Hired me on full time as an intern and then eventually that opportunity cultivated full time employment. Here's what I learned about rocket through the internship: - My managers trust me to get my work done. NO micro management. - Rocket recognized where I wanted to grow personally and found ways within their company to make that possible. - I've had a voice here since day one. Speaking up even without the correct answer is seen as beneficial and growth worthy. - The agile process is being created daily and team input is taken into consideration constantly. - I get to practice a wide range of skills from development and coding to interpersonal and presentation skills. - I am not pigeon holed into a single subject as an employee here. - Management will work to make my needs be seen, heard and answered. - Management are real people with real empathy - I didn't know the impact of empathy in the workplace until I started experiencing it here.
Minpunten
There really aren't any that I've come to see in the last two months. If there had to be one, it's that I live far away and have to drive - but even then, Rocket is working to make the commute less painful by offering me 1 day of remote work a week.
