Pluspunten
This company has all the usual benefits one would expect to find in a Pacific Northwest start-up-ish company; Great medical with a no-premium option, dental, vision, matching 401k, four weeks PTO, paid holidays, floating holidays, flexible work schedule (for most positions), dog friendly environment, etc. Then there is the fact that they're still a smaller company so your work is essential and your voice is heard. That is a very satisfying fact when compared to the cog I used to be at larger companies. The leadership is very good, but with a human and approachable aspect that I wouldn't trade for anything. Nobody is perfect, but I trust their instincts and actions. There was a recent reorganization in a larger group and places were found for everyone. Too often reorgs are an excuse to downsize, but that's not the case here. I find RootMetrics to be a mistake-tolerant environment with a great percentage of the workforce supportive of its growth. From a technical standpoint, the tools and technology used are exciting, and often allow for growth in one's chosen area. There are several groups where one's "next step" is fairly obvious and, with the anticipated growth in the coming years, very achievable. This is a place where I hope to spend many of my working years!
Minpunten
The company grew so quickly that there are some cumbersome or outdated systems and processes, but solutions to those are in the process of being implemented. There aren't enough parking spaces for employees, but there is a shuttle service from surrounding park & rides and during the lunch hour, as well as a monetized incentive program around finding alternate ways to work. I feel like some of these growing pains are to be expected, and while they can be a nuisance, the core of RootMetrics is very solid.
