- Exceptional culture for any firm, but especially in the recruiting/staffing industry. - Strong reputation in the industry and the markets served. - Great benefits, competitive salary, strong bonus program, work/life balance. - Professional organization with people who like to work hard but have fun. - Executive management genuinely care about doing what's best for the people in the firm. - Regularly give back to the communities they service, including encouraging coworkers to spend time during work hours every quarter to volunteer, etc. I spent 10 years with another recruiting firm before joining Roth Staffing. At the time I interviewed, I did not really have a desire to work for another recruiting firm as I highly disliked the "used car salesman" reputation of the industry. During the interview process I learned that they were not like any other staffing firm and their focus on Mission, Vision, Values, Purpose and Promise was not just Corporate PR Rhetoric but the real deal. I had a multi-step interview process, first meeting with my direct hiring manager, then the Market Manager, then dinner with Regional VP, a phone interview Sr. VP, and lunch with the Executive VP and a HQ meeting with the Founder/Executive Chairman. They really do carefully vet each manager level hire. Accepting their offer of employment was the best business decision I've ever made and working here has made my life better. I'm able to work hard, make a very good living, make a real difference in the lives of my coworkers, candidates and clients, and I can go home and be able to sleep at night with a good conscience knowing that I haven't had to swindle or cheat anyone or doing something sharky/snakey/salesy aka unethical as many recrutiing firms might. When I heard it the first time that "Honesty, ethics and integrity guide our behavior and decisions" I was sold and I can say that more than any other organization I've worked for, this firm works hard to live up to these shared sets of values and beliefs. The MVVPP that we review every Monday morning are what we all aspire to, some better than others, but the ones that do well here, the ones that have tenure of 10, 15, 20 years, they eat, breathe and live it. The one's that don't, often move on because they just don't share the same values and beliefs. No organization is perfect, there will be bad coworkers, awful managers, there will be ups and downs, but the people of this company are genuinely good people and some of the best in the business. It's my privilege to work with them to "make life better for the people we serve."

Minpunten

- Recruiting is a unique business and requires a certain mindset/personality/character so it's not really a "con" for Roth Staffing but serves primarily advice to anyone interested in joining the organization as a field worker (recruiter - BSS, BSM, ER, etc.). Make sure that you are a fit for the job - you must be resilient, resourceful, enjoy working with people, have strong communication skills, have sales ability and an entrepreneurial mindset. - The turn over I've seen among the staff is primarily due to a mismatch in a persons stated ability/interest and their actual ability/interest. Many of the recruiters who have moved on have left for internal corporate recruiter positions where they aren't having to "perform" in sales/business development. They're good at recruiting but not in sales. Others that move to other agencies because they weren't performing often experience the same demands and requirements at the new role and move on to another firm shortly thereafter. The grass isn't greener on the other side, the grass is greener where you water it. Our top performers have stuck with the business and usually have very good tenure, tenure unheard of in other recruiting firms, 5, 10, 15, 20+ years.

There is a great culture and the team is always willing to work with one another. People are kind, hard working, easy to get along with.

Minpunten

Feeling stagnant even after voicing the desire to the next step. There’s no bonuses for experience coordinators, and no yearly increase.
