8yWow - we are sorry to hear you feel this way about your experience here at SmartLinx. I wish we could have discussed this live when you were here.
It doesn't sound like you were located in our home office though, or you would know that most of our growing local staff is here for most of the week. When they are not here, it's because they are taking advantage of our arranged flexible work schedules and the ability to work from home and not commute on the tough NJ roads!
We also do have an open door policy for the very few offices in the building, and most of our team is not even in offices during the day with the exception of interviews or 1-1 meetings. I'm sorry if you had a hard time reaching someone.
We ARE very interested in what our employees think! We did roll out our first ever baseline culture survey in Q4 2017. We got some great results and we are currently doing focus groups across the company to learn how to make our strengths stronger - and how to address where we can do better.
While it is true that we don't have much formal training implemented yet (one of the things we know we can do better!) - we feel that we hire experienced professional people who don't need much in terms of formal training for the jobs they came to do. We are constantly working to improve our sales onboarding and mentoring program and recently just promoted 5 of our Bus Dev team into sales jobs as a direct result of positive mentoring and growth experiences over the past year. We are VERY PROUD to hire, grow and promote from within our ranks!
We also take immense pride in the work that our growing Marketing and Sales Operations teams do across the board to support everyone on our Sales team. They had an unprecedented year of driving MQLs to the teams and enabling a great effort at growing our healthy 2018 pipeline.
We do regret that you feel this way about your time here and wish that these issues had been raised prior to you leaving the team. We wish you all the best in your new endeavor and hope that you are able to get back to selling.
