These guys play favorites. Most companies give people bereavement time; at STS it's up the the manager's discretion. Well When my grandfather died not only did I not get bereavement time, they wouldn't let me work from home although the client would not have had an issue. I'd been there 5 years and done very good work and I had to sit in my cubicle mourning the passing of my grandfather because my manager decided I couldn't be afforded dignity. The next year when my grandmother died, the company I had been at gave me bereavement time and sent a beautiful arrangement to the service.
