      Pluspunten

      Plenty of professional development opportunities - only if you’re in good with the director. Regional staff and technical teams are great, but the marketing department is toxic. Decent benefits.

      Minpunten

      The establish processes are inflexible and if you don’t follow procedure, you’ll quickly find yourself on PIP. The director is a little unhinged and you’ll need to suck up. Most people don’t make it to two years so there is high turn over. The bottom line is always the biggest factor and if they feel that overhead is too high, any perks are eliminated. Since all employees are remote, if you don’t live near an office, you’ll find yourself at a huge disadvantage professionally - zero face time with any leadership. Prepare to find busy work, all time is recorded in 15 minute intervals which is overkill for overhead roles.

      Pluspunten

      The work was interesting and fulfilling. The team was completely remote. There were many opportunities to learn new skills from my peers in GIS and to gain domain knowledge of archeology, biology, and NEPA processes.

      Minpunten

      This was the top of the pay range for the position. There is no 401k match, but there is an ESOP with 4-6% salary investments by employer with 6 year vesting.
