Pluspunten

Fun environment, cool shoes, frequent office parties. Based in the center of midtown. Room for advancement. Work like balance was good (for me but not for some).

Minpunten

It’s a corporate company so you don’t have flexibility to do anything outside of your limited scope. Sam is a mad man and wants everything clean and his way at all times. You can feel his wrath when he’s in a mood.

Pluspunten

Positive working environment with a rising-tides-lifts-all-ships vibe rather than competitive amongst sales team. Store is well-maintained and displays are changed regularly, making it a vibrant place to be daily. The team and customers are a joy to connect with and well supported by management. Would recommend, especially if you are a social person with high integrity for your work.

Minpunten

Schedules released on fairly short notice making it hard to plan outside of work; however, scheduling is flexible when communicated to manager ahead of time.

Minpunten

High Turnover: The company has an alarmingly high turnover rate, which speaks to poor employee retention and dissatisfaction. There have been at least 6 assistant managers that have been fired/let go in 2 years. Many talented individuals leave quickly or are fired due to toxic workplace environment • Toxic Management: The leadership can be incredibly toxic. Writing things on the manager communication notepad with illegible handwriting and passive aggressive comments and being told that “these people are holding us back” is aggressive Micromanagement, lack of support, and poor communication are common issues. It seems that they are more focused on maintaining control than fostering a positive work environment or supporting their teams. • Limited Growth Opportunities: The constant turnover creates a sense of instability and makes it difficult for employees to find opportunities for growth or advancement. The culture of fear and pressure discourages employees from staying long enough to build a career path.
