Symbeo (formerly Scan One) is a great place to break into the tech industry because they hire people from a wide variety of backgrounds and the opportunity for advancement is immediately apparent. They hire from within. During the 18 months that I was with the company, I saw more people than I can count moving to different positions within the company. I was approached for a higher paying position after 5 months, the other person starting in my new department made a move after only a few weeks. If you think you might be interested in getting a variety of experiences by working in various positions, you will never have to wait long before an opportunity to move vertically or advance will come up.

The only con I can think of is that the benefit package was not very helpful. But the company makes up for that in a variety of ways. For example, the management is extremely flexible and supportive in working with employees unique needs and schedules.

Great co workers, excellent facilities, room for growth if you want it, employee lunches.

Depending on what department you're in, the stress can be unmanageable at times. Pay and benefits were horrible, there's a family and family friends inner circle with upper management but they're all nice. Pay does not line up with industry averages or standards. The company is growing very fast and the growing pains have lasted for several years now - employees feel it.
