Pluspunten

Fast growing company that will be the leader on CLOUD/SAAS (if it isn't already). Overall a great product. Some very talented hard-working people work there. Very process and detail oriented. Looks good on a resume. Well run from a shareholder standpoint. Good place for someone out of college to get their feet wet since this is the future of IT and the future is NOW as they say.

Minpunten

Growing pains. Too much focus on metrics and lots of micro-managing. The strict attention to detail and processes is a double-edged sword and also causes scaling problems in getting things done. Very easy to get caught up in minutiae. This can be a very soul-crushing place if you are a perfectionist. That being said; this is probably a better place than most companies out there.

Pluspunten

ServiceNow had a differentiated platform and products. Early on the culture had a startup energy that was rare for a company this size collaborative teams, ownership, and a sense that people actually cared about outcomes. Working with large enterprise customers on complex workflows was interesting work.

Minpunten

The ServiceNow I joined was a different company. As headcount increased, so did the bureaucracy, layers, and friction that rewarded politics over execution. The layoffs of the last few years were handled poorly little transparency, inconsistent communication, and decisions that felt made far above with little thought for the people affected. The "cost optimization" messaging rang hollow against continued executive spending. For a company that sells workflow and people process tools, the irony of a chaotic RIF wasn't lost on anyone in the field or on customers. Leadership political dynamics were real. The right team, the right manager you had cover. Performance alone didn't protect you.
