Potential to make some amazing connections both within the company and with clients, teammates are usually very good at helping each other out
Minpunten
Low pay and high work hours, The constant expectation to know everything without giving anyone proper training, Project goals fluctuate constantly due to internal confusion, Most of the junior ranked staff is very intelligent while the managers are talking heads, People the CEO considers loyal to her or are her friends get special treatment over others (it's very common to find people who become paranoid that their jobs are on the line because 1 or 2 people have decided they dislike them), When employees quit no one is informed which means nothing is properly offboarded, No respect for work/life balance and you could easily be called in for late nights and weekends without notice because of someone else's whims, The potential career growth is all on paper because it's unlikely you'll ever get a raise. Working in start-ups is hectic by nature, and so some of the things with longer days and lower salary I knew about, but the disrespect for people's time and energy is really at a new level here. Many people have felt themselves losing a lot of confidence working here as it sucks the energy right out of you to keep itself moving, and that's not fair to anyone.
