Minpunten
-Since absorbing into Software AG management as of 2013- Bureaucracy & micromanagement - process centric environment, thorough documentation of individual activities. Work examined and scrutinized by management, very suffocating. About 30-40% of time devoted to forms, reports, and paperwork. Expect a 30-60 minute call with mgmt if you have a typo on page 11 of 27 of your weekly sales report; it is a demoralizing experience. Conservative & apprehensive - slow to innovate and reluctant to adapt, culture seems to remain 5 years+ behind the market. Senior mgmt at Software AG also has absolute authority over decisions and this effectively neutralizes low & mid mgmt. This strong generals weak lieutenants policy is creating a lot of problems as senior mgmt is incredulous and pride filled. Most simply try and hide in the shadows and hope their department doesn't change, because change usually creates more problems. Unpromising career growth - external hires for vacant positions. Terracotta is growing yet new positions filled by veterans from a previous era of high-tech. Company is being filled with overfed bureaucrats who still think it is 1995 Attrition rate accelerating - particularly engineering and sales. Best performers are leaving/ left. Some areas experiencing 70%+ annual attrition rate.
