It’s hard to get fired because of low staffing, unlimited clients, free classes, great learning experiences.

Minpunten

Unorganized corporate. Very fast turn over, girls are catty. So much drama but it always has to do with managers/ corporate/ how corporate runs things and treats the stylists/ managers. They only care about timing and money but it can be political. If you don’t get along with the managers or they are intimidated by you, you’re out the door. And it’s not in a legal way. Sundays are not optional. Georgetown corporate store is only store you can make real money at and it’s like the jungle trying to work there.

The pay is excellent as long as you’re performance is strong and especially if your flexible with your schedule and full time. But if you’re not a good performer or super part time, this might not be the best place for you.

Great hourly pay with tips. Averaged about $38 to $40 an hour. Great starting place. They do offer training. The co-workers were nice at my location. Management does help you with flexible scheduling so if you have children, it works out great.

Minpunten

Burnout is real. Expected to complete service within an allotted short time. Too many clients come in that want expensive barbershop cuts but want to pay the lowest price (they really shouldn’t even go to sport clips for). Also, way too many clients with long hair wanting full scissor cuts. They won’t turn away clients even if the cuts they ask for are — are not something sport clips does or allows for a lot of time. TV’s get annoying after a while (too loud).
