(-) Compensation and benefits: * Salary is a red flag as it is way below market benchmarks. * The general rule of the company which says that no matter how good, productive and/or innovative you are, you will not get a salary increase or an individual performance bonus if you do not complete 12 months with the company seems to be quite regressive in relation to the technological market. (-) Strategy - Company structure: * The strategic plan and company structure change very often. This practice does not give time to properly evaluate a plan, making the company's long-term goal quite blurry and creating a climate of confusion and disorientation in the teams. * Ιmportant information silos seem to be created. (your evaluation manager belongs to another team and has no idea of the tasks you perform, your real tasks as well as the needs of the projects you run are not visible to the members of the other teams, etc.). (-) Expertise: * As one of the main pillars of the company is Artificial Intelligence, the company must invest more either in the recruitment of personnel with deep knowledge of the specific field or in the systematic training of the existing employees. The Data Science team, consisting only of 2 people, was/is the only company staff with deep knowledge, both theoretical and practical, in the field of AI, ML and DL. (-) Processes: * There is the impression that the company either is taking baby steps towards the creation of corporate processes (eg. hiring process) or there is a significant delay in their completion (e.g. evaluation process) or several times these are not in the right direction (eg. corporate OKRs that concern a very small part of the company). * The company has established a single common technical role for everyone. This goes against the market trend for specialization as well as the need for an employee to become an expert in a specific technical field. At the end of the day, this seems to be demotivational.
