Friendly people, stable and steady pace of work, no pushy colleagues or managers. Salary is decent. Works in a research team.

Both pros and cons: slow, comfortable and stable firm, culture is very visible in the work process and attitude of the firm, focusing on being stable, protective of existing assets, overly conservative, hesitant and slow to accept new ideas, and scared to venture into the unknown. Huge proportion of the team only knows how to follow instructions, not sure which came first that or the conservative attitude of the company.

In my previous roles I've never felt burnout but with this one is the first I was feeling crush. I don't think managers take time to structure the tasks on a 8hrs or 10hrs per day. There are a lot of unrealistic expectations, no work-life balance at all. Even if you made the sacrifice to stay late, you will not be done with the work for the day.
