Pluspunten
The tutor interface is easy to use, and you can track the progress of your ACT & SAT students. Depending where you are located, you could potentially receive a lot of students. The curriculum is easy to get the hang of, and the manuals provide a sample course outline that you can basically follow and expect to finish the program on time. They update their curriculums and provide the necessary training (which is paid at minimum wage for your state of residence). Lastly, hours are flexible, and if you feel that you've taken on enough students, you can update your status to let them know you don't want additional referrals.
Minpunten
There is no travel compensation, but tutors are expected to drive up to 30 minutes for a lesson. 30 minutes can turn into over an hour drive each way depending on traffic, especially since most students are high schoolers and will need to be tutored in the late afternoon or early evening. For tutors, expect to pay a chunk of your hourly wages on travel-related expenses. You can pick a location radius for tutoring availability, but if you set it too small, then don't expect many students. Lastly, expect to do a fair amount of unpaid work from home, including communicating with the students and their families, writing notes, and general lesson prep. As with any tutoring company, tutors are independent contractors and are not eligible for benefits.
