Pluspunten
Really interesting clinical work and a powerful mission statement. You'll get to work with some top tier scientists. Only real benefit is unlimited PTO and a pretty good WLB, but that varies team to team.
Minpunten
Compensation is laughable, and management makes pretty much zero effort to fix it. If you ask for a raise you'll get laughed at - they gave zero adjustment for inflation. For reference, in the 2 years I was here, I got a 2% raise on two separate occasions. When asked about why compensation is so bad, the CEO said "we're not here to make money, we're here to cure cancer" - easy to say when you're a multi billionaire, Eric... If you have a bad manager, like I did, you're SOL. You won't get promoted, no one will vouch for you, and you'll end up backfilling more senior engineers as they quit, inheriting their responsibility but not their salary or title. Pretty much zero accountability from management. Attrition is god awful. They said we were supposed to IPO 6 months ago and then didn't and gave us zero information about the situation. We're all in the dark.
