Pluspunten
There are many reasons why working for T-ROC is a rewarding experience. With a vast array of roles and services, there are positions available at every experience level and a lot of avenues in which to get started. They value their people as their greatest asset, and this is apparent in their policies-- any employee who remains in good standing for 6 months at their current position becomes eligible for transfer to any other open project within T-ROC. There are opportunities to move up and over, to take on new responsibilities and try new things. For me, this meant that I had a steady entry-level position and at least 6 months to get to know T-ROC better while T-ROC got to know me. I started out in May of last year as a Wireless Specialist and Team Lead. Though it was a sales-driven position, our teams were driven to succeed through positive reinforcement, training, and support and never with pressure, threats, or negativity. I was given the freedom to pursue my goals as if it were my own small business, yet there was structure and security to fall back on if I needed additional help. The main directives we were given were to avoid hard selling tactics, do the right thing, go above and beyond for the customer, and make it fun. I was encouraged to create repeat business by taking the time to do right by each customer and to value my own reputation as the lynchpin of my business. The base pay alone was really competitive compared to similar positions at other companies and the commission made it exciting. I became a top seller in my market after a few months and then had the opportunity to move to another location that needed staffing and I found success there as well. I was given more opportunities for personal and professional development in the first 6 months with T-ROC than with any other company I have ever worked for. I was encouraged to think about the future and dream big. My Market Manager maintained open and honest dialogue with me about what I loved about my current role and what I might like to do in the future. 8 months in to my role as a Wireless Specialist, my Market Manager informed me when he came across a new program being launched by T-ROC that he felt was a perfect fit based on his understanding of my goals. I am now 8 months into my new role. I started out in a sales position at one store and now I provide training and support to sales teams in a territory that includes 30 T-ROC staffed locations. This was all in less than two years. The difference that T-ROC has made in my life in a matter of months is nothing short of miraculous. T-ROC is the company that cares enough about me to know me by name, and to help me find a role that I can be passionate about. They do not just encourage individuality, they make it clear that being the best version of myself and playing to my personal strengths has been the key to my success and has contributed to theirs. In nearly two years with the company, I have had the chance to meet some of the most senior members of T-ROC, including the CEO. Without a doubt the culture of support, passion, and integrity comes from the very top levels and remains constant all the way down. Every day, I feel an immense sense of satisfaction that I can put my heart and soul into work that I am passionate about, that is important to me, and that was entrusted to me by good people who believe in what I can do.
Minpunten
Generally, working for T-ROC often means treading into unknown territory; innovation is one of the biggest aspects of our company and we never shy away from challenges. We learn as we go and we are not afraid to try new things, even if we do not have all of the answers right away. It comes with the territory. You have to flexible! Sometimes you have to think outside of the box and be the first person to find the solution to a problem. You have to be an active participant in the larger conversation. Any person who just shows up to punch-in will find nothing enriching about their experience. It is also important to have or quickly develop the discipline to work independently. The freedom and latitude given in many positions within T-ROC will place the onus on the individual to manage their time properly and have the integrity to give their best every day.
