Pluspunten

Plenty of opportunities to learn skills, get qualified, move teams, gain progression, get promotions etc. If you go out of your way to show you are skilled, knowledgeable, and will take action, you WILL get progression. Everything you do either directly or indirectly helps people to save money, so you can feel proud that you are making a positive impact on the world. The upper management genuinely care about you as a person and will set time aside for anyone who approaches them. Most staff are collaborative and really want to work together to do their best. Almost everyone here is extremely friendly. You will make friends here if you try, even with the directors. At times some roles throughout the company have been no longer needed (not uncommon in most businesses), and the company does its best to give those staff a rewarding alternative role. To my knowledge, no one has ever been made redundant because their role was no longer needed. They make sure you always have a job. The company has an ever-growing focus on being green and minimising its impact on climate change. The caveat being that most staff commute by car to the office, but we do have opportunities for reduced-cost electric vehicles. The recent AI training has been great as the company wants you to use it for good and for your own benefit, not to replace you. While no workplace is ever perfect, TopCashback is a much nicer place to be than anywhere else I have worked. I really love my job and would not want to leave TopCashback unless I had to.

Minpunten

Below market rate for a lot of roles, but they will listen to reason if you believe they haven't got the pay right. Some staff have been here a bit too long and may either have victim mentality (they barely want to do the minimum, believing they are purposely left out of progression opportunities so there's little point in over performing), or an inflated ego (stifling progress, collaboration and innovation), depending on whether they had progression or not. They don't seem to realise that they are the only ones that can really fix their own problems, and at times these staff can make everything feel far too difficult which can slow your own progression. Luckily there are not too many of these cases, but it is unfortunate, as I know staff who could do really great things but just believe there's little point in trying to seize the opportunities available to them. Communication could be improved, and rumors spread quickly, often spreading misinformation and harming staff morale. The company would be better off if it would explain every decision, or at least publish a monthly list of them, rather than stay quiet and then find that all staff are talking about them as though the company was trying to hide them. e.g there's some differences in WFO/WFH days between offices, which upper management don't believe has ever been a secret. But because it hasn't been communicated plainly and openly, many staff who are in the office more often than others feel a little disheartened, believing that it's been purposely kept a secret from them. There's usually a good and logical decision being made by the company that would be better understood and accepted by staff if communicated more openly. The Stafford office isn't in a great location and you will always have to bring your own lunch or drive out to the few limited options nearby. There are no food options within walking distance, and the food van that arrives each day is a last resort for some. Many large companies with this many staff in the office provide a free or subsidised canteen, or have daily food deliveries. I think we could very easily do this with very low cost that would have a very large positive impact on staff morale. If you are based in the other offices, you don't have this problem, as there are dozens of places nearby to get great food, and that's something that they speak about often when visiting Stafford.

Pluspunten

I’ve been with TopCashback for over 3 years now, and honestly, I have so many positive things to say about working here. The environment is genuinely friendly and supportive, it never feels overly corporate or cold, which I think makes a huge difference day to day. What I really appreciate is that hard work does not go unnoticed. I’ve had opportunities to grow professionally, take on new responsibilities, and felt supported throughout that process. It’s motivating to work somewhere where your effort is actually recognized and appreciated. Work-life balance is also something the company does really well. There’s understanding and flexibility when needed, and I’ve always felt trusted and respected as an employee. Of course no workplace is perfect, but overall my experience here has been very positive, and I’m genuinely grateful for the opportunities and people I’ve met during my time at TopCashback.

Minpunten

Honestly, I personally haven’t had any major negatives during my time here. Like any growing company, there can occasionally be busy periods or changing priorities, but overall my experience has been very positive.
