Pluspunten
I joined Touchdown as a graduate and have felt genuinely supported from day one. The team makes coming into the office something I really look forward to and creates a welcoming, collaborative environment. It might sound cliché, but you really do succeed as a team here. Your efforts and wins are recognised, which is motivating and encourages you to want to keep growing in your role. In a relatively short space of time, I’ve already achieved a lot that I’m proud of across different clients, and it’s been amazing learning about a wide range of industries and seeing the different ways technology shapes the world around us. That exposure, alongside the trust you’re given, makes the work feel meaningful and keeps things interesting day to day. Having both a mentor and a line manager means I feel consistently supported both professionally and personally. Any worries or challenges are listened to and acted on (when needed) in a constructive, non-judgemental way. This attitude runs across the whole company, with everyone working together towards shared goals. Senior leadership are also approachable and trusting, giving you the confidence and independence to get the job done. The team socials are another highlight and have led to some of my best memories at the company so far. They create real opportunities to connect with colleagues, which really strengthens relationships across the business. The salary is very competitive and progression allows it to grow quickly (on par with, and often exceeding, many London salaries). The hybrid working structure also supports flexibility and a strong work–life balance. One thing I particularly love is the “colour analysis” you complete when you join. It’s a professional personality exercise that helps you understand how you work best and how your team can support you. In my second year at Touchdown, it’s still something I find genuinely useful for understanding what motivates me and how I can continue developing as I gain more experience in my role. I think it's also worth mentioning that the senior leadership team has changed and adapted since I joined. The structure was very different during the times that previous reviews were left, and I would highlight that the support and environment as a whole is now nothing other than positive and welcoming. I would strongly recommend Touchdown as a company to work for to anyone I know, but especially for graduates as you begin your career.
Minpunten
I struggled to identify any cons to be honest, so instead I will highlight the below: - The role can be fast-paced at times so organisational skills are essential. - I would also say you need to be self-motivated, whether that be in your career progression, learning about new clients, or simply managing your workload - you are responsible for your own success. - There will be clients who are not always the easiest to work for, but this is when the team environment is so important. Having people around that pick each other up, figure out a way forward, and build resilience as a team is what makes this a challenge to list as a con. If anything, it's great experience and professional development.
