Pluspunten
Great people, interesting problems, bureaucracy kept to a necessary minimum. Strong “bottom-up” decision-making channel, that allows the devs to make decisions about direction - an element necessary for a meritocracy.
Minpunten
It’s still a corporation. Some management decisions arguable and not transparent, but it’s not too bad. Higher management positions always hired from the outside, no chance of internal career climb above certain level. Since it’s a corporation, even a handful of people can push the meritocracy into a politics-heavy popularity contest. Unity sometimes recovers from it quickly, other times not so quickly.
