Pluspunten
Contracting or consulting has a bad tone in the US, but Vincit is doing it great. We have interesting projects varying from startups to larger enterprises, like Logitech and The New York Times. Some projects last a couple of months, while others span several years. People are great, and the company has done an excellent job finding exceptional talents. You can truly trust that your colleagues are giving their best, and they are eager to learn. There are also a variety of free-time activities, such as dinners with colleagues, volleyball, and ski trips, for those who are interested. I see the company as a great place to grow, especially for junior and mid-level developers. Vincit is a software agency, and all the money comes from invoicing, so there is a limit to how much they can pay. Salaries are competitive compared to other software agencies, but they may not match what you could get in big tech companies as a senior. The benefits are good, and my favorite is Boon, which provides coaching sessions with professionals twice a month. The tech stack in US projects usually involves TypeScript, React/React Native, Next.js, and AWS. However, some projects use technologies like Java, Vue, Golang, and Swift (iOS). I see Vincit US's values as transparency, honesty, and a good work-life balance. These are values that the leadership also acknowledges and upholds even during challenging times.
Minpunten
The company is undergoing significant changes in Europe and the US, and the trip might be bumpy.
