I couldn't find any pros at all, except maybe the one hour lunch break that doesn't compensate for the horrible working conditions, politics, low salary, etc...

I have had enough time to see what this company is all about. THE REVIEW YOU READ HERE ABOUT THIS COMPANY ARE NOT TRUE AT ALL, WEBPALS IS FORCING EMPLOYEES TO KEEP WRITING THESE FAKE REVIEWS. I have been at webpals and I know it is all lies promoted by the management of this horrible company. First of all the management of webpals does not care at all about the employees. *Any attempt to try and think ahead and offer viable solutions is stopped immediately due to stifling politics. *Horrible working conditions with NO personal space at all with 200 people working in one large open space, horrible noise and horrible hygiene. *I tried to write code although I didn't have to, but nobody cared and nobody appreciated the effort even though it would have improved the work X 200. *The salaries at webpals are VERY LOW, don't even bother to try and ask for more because they don't care about the employees at all. *The tools and software being used for the work are so bad , we had to work 5 people or more with ONE password of SEO software and every time someone else logged in we were logged out by the software due to not enough licenses. *I tried to offer a solution for that by using the API but again , the horrible politics of this company stopped my initiative as it always does for anyone who is trying to think out of the box. *The Culture & Values of webpals are SO WRONG and SO BAD . They advocate the employment of black hat SEO practices like paying money for links from various sites to promote their web sites and other bad practices. *Every little thing has to be approved by so many people and so much politics is involved that you better NOT try to do anything because the management in webpals will shut you down and stop you. I have heard that little software fixes for their web sites where not fixed even after ONE year or more of constant requests for these fixes. *webpals promotes gambling, casinos, which are all BAD VALUES and immoral, it ruins peoples lives, hurt families, and drive gamblers to loose everything they have. I felt wrong being a part of this cruel industry so this is one of the reasons I have decided to leave this horrible place. The world will be so much of a better place to live in without these horrible gambling companies like webpals. I have decided to leave webpals as soon as I understood their bad practices and their horrible politics and ignorance. I have found another amazing and interesting position with X 2 the salary, X 2 the benefits, X 2 closer to where I live, X 2 the interest, and I am also being appreciated for my out of the box thinking and the solutions I provide. DON'T BELIEVE THE FAKE REVIEWS THAT ARE BEING POSTED HERE BY THE EMPLOYEES OF WEBPALS, MOST LIKELY THEY ARE BEING PAID TO DO IT. THESE REVIEWS ARE NOT TRUE AT ALL AND DON'T REFLECT THE TRUE STATE OF THIS HORRIBLE COMPANY. If you want to save yourself the MOST horrible time, low salary, bad politics, stay away from this horrible company. Your life will be so much better , fulfilled and happy.

- I am actually a fan of the open space work environment. Helped to foster creativity and brainstorming within teams. - Most of the time there is decent food in the office (until the CEO decides to ban certain items...) - I left the company with some of my fellow employees becoming really good friends. - Decent happy hours (though it is getting quite crowded)

- Employees who bear the brunt of the blame for problems that are not their fault. Numerous times, employees have been blamed for entire websites failing. And even though employees can prove it is not their fault, it doesn't matter...damage has been done. - If you are a woman and you are looking to add to your family, please be advised that there have been quite a few women who came back to less-than-pleasant experiences at Webpals. The CEO may be a woman, but it doesn't mean that women are treated fairly when they come back from maternity leave. - There is a lot of favoritism. Many have been at the wrong end of being a person's favorite, and it has come at the expense of our ability to do our job properly as well as diminish the likelihood for any upward mobility within the company. - Too much much managerial red tape - they keep creating more and more managerial positions, which you would think is good, but they are middle middle management, creating more layers to get through. Yes, you might be a team leader, but there is another manager above you who has another manager above them, and so on and so forth. Oh, and they were probably hired from outside. - Alluded in the previous statement - there is no room for growth and advancement. When I first came to Webpals, this was one of the things I appreciated most in the company. However, in the last few months I was there, there have been a number of open positions that could have clearly been filled internally by people who were more than capable of doing it, yet they'd rather bring in new people. Some people may believe that a fresh set of eyes is always good, but when you have been working there for 2+ years and you do good work and want to move up in ranks, not getting a higher position is a kick to the stomach. Their reasoning is that enough people have been promoted, but that really is not true nor is it justification. If you have people who are good, solid workers, and like the place, it would be beneficial to the company to keep them and not have them look elsewhere. And yes, recently there was some inner promotion - but when you find out how long ads for those positions were open before they decided to promote from within, it looks more like they had no other choice (they couldn't find people to fill those positions), rather than because of the merits of those people. - And the people they do hire from outside aren't always the best at their position. They may be "a good person," but they don't know how to do their job. - Promises are made but never kept. 'Nuff said there.
