During my employment with WinMill Software, I have always been impressed with the strong value system that the company promotes and encourages in its employees. This value system begins with the clients - we strive for the highest quality of service and deliverables on every project, while maintaining the highest level of professionalism. The value system is also evident in the way the company takes care of its employees. The managers genuinely care about the employees happiness, professional satisfaction, and quality of life. Regarding the benefits package, WinMill offers a very nice combination of traditional health insurance and a medical reimbursement plan, which keeps the employee out of pocket expenses minimal.

Minpunten

I have not been dissatisfied with any aspect of my employment with WinMill Software. I noticed that one earlier review suggested that if an employee did not have an assignment with a client, they are let go. From my own firsthand experience, this is not the case. Consultants that are between projects generally will engage in training or self-study to learn new skills relevant to their professional development goals.

I have been given plenty of training and everyone is eager to help me become better. Teams are collaborative and I feel like I always have my voice heard. I have learned so much more in just a year than I have in any other job, so I am excited for what is to come in the future :)

Minpunten

Some people may not love to work with older .NET tech stacks, but I believe that you have to start somewhere to be able to adapt to both older and newer systems.

Unlimited PTO. Touts the fact that they champion visibility and truly want employees to bring issues to higher management.

Minpunten

I have been there just a few months and am already seeing a toxic work culture. Managers request last minute meetings for things they feel are hyper critical to the company, but realistically they are not. Meetings go over the alotted time with managers that shoot the breeze with employees about their life. Micro management happens quite a bit and management complains that they are "babysitting" when realistically they are micromanaging. Tasks will be assigned, then checked on with unrealistic due dates and then manager will jump in and try to complete a task the moment you are working on it. Onboarding process is virtually nonexistant.
