Great benefits like HSA and retirement contributions and many days off. Free access to the fitness center.

Minpunten

Very low salary compared to similar jobs elsewhere (but that's true across higher ed). Extremely minor (if any) raises compared to inflation and cost of living increases. Not many challenges or growth opportunities for exceptional employees; promotions are rare and external hires seem preferred when there are open jobs.

Lots to learn, some great mentors, gave my resume an excellent boost and confidence a major push. Became very confident in my skills and provided valuable connections.

You work independently often, especially when discovered to be fine on your own, even if you might need the mentorship
